Club History and Legends

Dean Pugh 

Dean (Pughy) established the Logan Vikings Swimming Club in 2009 and was our inaugural coach. He coached notable athletes here at Logan Vikings including Olympians Mitch Larkin and Keryn McMaster.  

Dean was diagnosed with Adenocarcinoma lung cancer in June 2020 and sadly lost his battle in January 2021. Our club celebrates his memory with the perpetual Champion Athlete Award named in his honor.
