Logan Vikings Swimming Club

These policies support a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment for all swimmers.

1. Child Safety Policy

The club is committed to providing a safe environment for children and young people.

The club will:

  • Promote the safety and wellbeing of all swimmers

  • Maintain appropriate supervision during club activities

  • Require coaches and relevant volunteers to comply with child protection requirements

  • Respond appropriately to concerns or complaints

Bullying, harassment, or inappropriate behaviour towards children will not be tolerated.

2. Inclusion and Respect

The club welcomes swimmers of all backgrounds and abilities.

We aim to provide an inclusive environment regardless of:

  • gender

  • culture

  • disability

  • religion

  • experience level

All members must treat others with respect.

3. Safety and Training Policy

To ensure safe training environments:

Swimmers must:

  • Follow coach instructions

  • Use equipment appropriately

  • Respect lane allocations

  • Avoid unsafe behaviour in and around the pool

Members who behave unsafely may be asked to leave a session.

4. Competition Participation

Members representing the club in competitions must:

  • Display respectful behaviour

  • Follow event rules

  • Represent the club positively

Unsportsmanlike conduct may result in disciplinary action.

5. Complaints and Concerns

The club encourages members or parents to raise concerns in a respectful manner.

Concerns may relate to:

  • coaching

  • behaviour

  • safety

  • club operations

Complaints should be submitted to the club committee for review.
